Anomaly Podcast
Fun but deep episodes on Sci-fi / Fantasy and geek culture. Covering Star Trek, Star Wars, and other sci-fi fantasy TV, book, and movies. In addition to the episodes available here, you'll find many, many more at anomalypodcast.com.

How do you get someone into "Doctor Who"? One theory is: have them watch the season 3 episode "Blink." In this Anomaly Supplemental episode, Kasey (our resident Whovian) and Sue (who'd never seen a single "Who" episode before in her life) put this theory to the test. And it's quite the wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey episode - just what you'd expect from "Doctor Who."

Anomaly Classic: The Star Wars Holiday Special

On December 19th 2008, Anomaly released a humorous look at The Star Wars Holiday Special. It was a very lighthearted commentary about the episode that George wishes had never been made. Today at work, after discussing how horrible the Life Day extravaganza was, Angela and Jen decided the episode should be re-released. We hope you enjoy the jokes made at the special's expense! Please visit anomalypodcast.com to subscribe to the newsletter, follow our blog, join the forum, follow us on Twitter and friend us on Facebook! Merry Christmas from all of us at Anomaly! Look for the next Anomaly to be released later this month. It will be a video report about the Texas Renaissance Festival. If the file is too large to download onto your devices, you can stream it on our web site.

View the show notes here ยป  Jen and Angela are joined by their good friend Simon Meddings, from their "brother podcast" Waffle On. "Meds", as he's known to his friends, is a horror film aficionado so Jen and Angela allowed him to lead the conversation about this British Rom-Com-Horror film. This is a fun conversation that includes skit at the start of the episode. Simon wrote the skit, Jen mixed it (as well as the rest of the episode) and Jen, Angela and Meds star in it. NOTE: It is not kid friendly. It's a bit too scary for tikes. This episode is labeled explicit for that reason. Consider using headphones for the best experience. For more information, including links to the action figure poll and podcasts, please visit the show notes located at Anomalypodcast.com. Happy Halloween!!!

"A nerdish florist finds his chance for success and romance with the help of a giant man-eating plant who demands to be fed."

In the first installment of  "Mastergeek Theater", KC and Sue cover Little Shop of Horrors in its many incarnations.  Although we touch briefly on the 1960 film and theatrical productions, we focus mainly on the 1986 movie musical.  Little Shop is celebrating it's 25th anniversary this year, and features fantastic music, and puppetry from veterans of the Jim Henson Creature Shop, and wonderful direction by Frank Oz.  Musicals with puppets?  As if you expected anything else from us.

Anomaly: Jessica Mills Interview

In this special Anomaly interview, Sue from Anomaly Supplemental chats with actress, writer, web series creator and internet superstar Jessica Mills about her web series Awkward EmbracesJessica is an anomaly and loves all the geeky things anomalies love.  She talks about what it was like growing up a geek girl and discusses her thoughts on women of Sci-Fi, fantasy and fandom.

Her web series Awkward Embraces follows Jessica's dating misadventures.  Her non-geek gal pals don't get her Star Trek references, but they love her despite her batleth analogies... and perhaps because of that they often try to "help her" by setting her up with men they deem to be "suitable".  Please visit the show notes to learn more.
